Default MVP- Tom Brady?

Though i knew this alrdy, nfl.com gave me the idea to post it on here Now that center Dan Koppen is out for the season with a shoulder injury, Brady's playing behind an offensive line that includes two rookies at left tackle and left guard, and undrafted players at center, right guard and right tackle, and still averaging 250+ yards/game with a qb rating of 96.somethign i belive

Without a doubt... Tom Brady is the best QB in the league, hands down. Without him, the Pats could easily be 2-7 or worse right now. His ability to manage a game, make the big throw when it counts, and not make mistakes is practically unmatched. Yes Peyton Manning is good, but his supporting cast has been much better than Brady's in recent years, especially this year.

For MVP consideration though... I think you have to throw in Shaun Alexander, Jake Plumber, and LaDanian Tomlinson also.

I wish people (especially sportscasters) would STOP calling Tomlinson LT. There is only one LT, and as great as Tomlinson is, he ain't LT.

not to mention the persistant rumors that Brady is also calling the plays from the line of scrimmage. If that is going on, and quite a few coaches in the league have mentioned it, that just shows how good he is.

True or not, there is no better QB in the game right now then Brady. Manning is awesome as well, but he is missing the big wins. Brady took the team down the field on a last drive all three Super Bowls and won, twice being Super Bowl MVP.

I think what separates Manning from the Hall of Fame, besides another decade or so of time hehe, is the Super Bowl play.

QB’s in the HOF (modern era): 21

Never in a super bowl/title game-Fouts, Jergenson,
Played in but lost-Marino, Tarkenton, Kelly, Tittle
Played in and won at least one NFL Title game: the other 15

It’s not just gaudy numbers that get you in, it’s the playoffs too for the most part. I would even go so far as to say this is one of the only positions in sports where a championship or at least playing in one is a deciding factor for a HOF.
